Are you looking for some high-octane mental strength for racing this season? Do you want to go into your next race with new tools to increase your confidence and work on your inner strengths to foment your resilience? Join Rachel Joyce, Professional Triathlete and Dana Platin, Leadership Development Strategist for this combined open water swim clinic and mental skills workshop at CU Boulder. Swim braver: We kick the morning off in the pool focusing on the unique challenges associated with open water swimming. In this skills based session we will practice sighting; teach techniques to equip you for the varying conditions of the open water; and provide you with practical skills that will enable you to approach your next open water swim with confidence. Unleash your inner warrior: During brunch we will build your ‘race ready’ tool kit to prepare for race day moments. We explore the inner voice and how to avoid self-sabotage, negotiate with fear and explore positive self-talk. Discover the power of visualization to lead with self-direction not self-deception and leave with the tools to create your strategy for race day success. We will give you the tools to drive mindset for optimal performance, and create your strategy for race day success.
